Overview 

A website can be an effective tool to communicate the vision of your organization, provide needed information and equip your users for the work of the ministry.  This was the motivation behind designB studios/Silverstripe creation of an easy-to-use, web-based CMS tool to manage, update and create new content for your organization's website. designB studios/Silverstripe CMS allows Ministry Leaders, Pastors and other contributors to ensure your website is updated consistently with new content, events, music and articles for your people to view.  The contributors are able to login to the system anywhere they have access to the internet.

Content Management

Creating a website is the first step in communicating your organization's vision. A website that provides valuable, relevant and current information leverages technology to maximize enhance and accelerate the mission and vision.  At their leisure, users can find encouraging teachings, time-sensitive event information or helpful resources when an organization invests the time to make their website a store-house of value.  For example, with a church, the website becomes an extension of the pastors, deacons and church administrators 24 hours a day. Calendar/Event Management

The calendar management system allows you to create and display new events rapidly.  designB studios/Silverstripe CMS integrates Google’s API to automatically create Maps & Directions for you. Our location manager stores the address information on about your facilities.  The event registration/RSVP module allows an organization to quickly enable an event for online registration and manage registrations. This module is perfect for events that do not require payment by the registrant or we can add an additional feature to accept registration fees. The events are displayed on the church website and can be promoted with the email application.

Members Module

The member’s module includes a login protected area for the people that an organization provides permission to enter. This means members can access a backend system to view online directories and participate in resources that are published for members only. Members can manage their contact information and update email addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, and upload pictures to accompany their directory listings.

Manage groups, view maps of where your members live to better plan small groups or new services.  The member module has many other features included in our backend.  Members can join public groups, manage how they want to be communicated with and message one another. 

Multimedia

Our goal is to provide an efficient communication platform through multimedia to effectively reach people in your influence.  This ranges from integrated audio and video players to MP3 and steaming media as well as large searchable and downloadable archives from audio to documents.

Ecommerce

designB studios/Silverstripe CMS allows you to enter products and capture sales on your website. Easily add and edit products through a customized solution that fills all your needs.  Editing your products is as easy as logging into the CMS or integrated site, adding, changing or deleting products and saving your changes.  Sell books, cds, downloads or any products or other resources easily through your website. Shopping cart integrated into the product and can be used with PayPal or most any merchant account.

Contact Management

Effective communication re-enforces the relationship, encourages people when not in your presense, communicates valuable information and connects people to the vision the church casts. Email is a powerful way to easily communicate with specific groups within the organization to the members or audiance as a whole. designB studios/Silverstripe CMS gives people the power to easily (and with little/no technological knowledge) create email campaigns and send it to hundred (or thousands) of people. The challenge for many organizations as they mature is that they end up having multiple databases of visitors and members and no organized easy way to communicate - we resolve that.  If you have a current database of people, we can migrate it for use. 

Blogging System

Organizations can integrate a blog with commenting functionality into their site. A blog is a great tool for leaders to communicate the vision of the organization, other informal journal-style entries or commentary. The blog posts combines text, images and other media related to its topic. You can allow visitors and/or members to add comments to posts on the blog. The commenting system allows for easy approval or disapproval of comments.

Social Networking

Online social networking is revolutionizing how people connect. MySpace is now the most popular website on the internet. This social networking site surpassed widely-used Web-based email and portal sites including Yahoo Mail, Yahoo and Google. Each day, new social networking sites connect like-minded communities of people together. More and more people are accustomed to connect with others based on shared affinity. Already the Internet serves as the foundation for interactive faith experiences for more than one out of every ten adults. Organizations who understand how to tap into social networks have a tremendous opportunity to connect with people.

Administration & Reporting

Administrators: The site administrator can add and set the permission settings for the other administrators. For example, the site administrator can allow one administrator to update the sermons, and another to update the events. Other sections can be locked down so that each administrator only has access to the section to which they have been granted. 

- Site Traffic Statistics: Organizations have the ability to view how many site visitors they have, where they are coming from, and what they are looking at on the website.

- Log Reporting:  Ability to have the ability to view who has logged in, edited, or added content into the system backend.

- Site Management: The primary administrator is able to change other site information in the backend.
